The Tokyo Evolutionary Linguistics Forum has been organized as a venue to extend discussions on evolutionary linguistics following this years 9th International Conference on the Evolution of Language (Evolang9) which was held form the 13th to 16th of March in Kyoto. It is hoped that the event will stimulate interest in this burgeoning field of study in the Tokyo academic community, and lead to ongoing collaborations between local and international researchers.
The event is free and open to all. No prior registration is required, simply join us on the day, and enjoy a series of presentations on a range of current topics in language evolution research. Given the inherently multidisciplinary nature of the field, we believe the talks will offer something to researchers from a variety of backgrounds, from linguists to biologists, psychologists to archaeologists.
The following speakers will be joining us for the event:
Details of the individual talks are available on the program page. The full program is available here (Participants will receive a copy on arrival so there is no need to print this file).
